TINY DANCER

Her heart explodes,

each tear turns to fire while her body becomes ice,

it couldn’t last this way.

Her heart knows blue,

and she sees red as it seeps onto her face,

it couldn’t last, anyway.

Still she holds onto the moment when she lets go of the past,

it couldn’t last.

Her eyes are heavy,

so she hangs her head and whispers,

“Save me. Only you will.”,

she knows there is a space within that only he can fill.

Her heart is ablaze when he is running free,

she asks, “How did you make your way to me?”

And she’ll give him everything, everything.

More than she knows she can.

He leans in close to tell her,

“You’ll marry a music man.”
